The Better Living Charitable Foundation focuses solely on providing support to the programs and services offered by Better Living Health and Community Services and Better Living at Thompson House. In order for Better Living Health and Community Services to provide the array of programs and services to individuals and families in the Don Mills and surrounding community, and to maintain the high quality of service that we provide, we rely on the generous support of individuals and corporations in our community.
In Ontario, it is projected that by the year 2021, our province will be home to close to three million seniors. This is a substantial increase from 1.45 million seniors in 1998. At this rate, there is a critical need for the Better Living Charitable Foundation to invest into the kinds of strategies and approaches needed to serve this imminent boom in the senior population and to improve the quality of lives of our seniors in a number of practical and beneficial ways.
Your donations assist Better Living in providing high-quality programs and services for members, clients and residents. Past support has helped fund the following areas of Better Living Health and Community Services:
- Pastoral Care Services
- Accessibility devices
- Meals on Wheels
- Facility enhancement
- Transportation Services
- Thompson House Renovations
- Computer Training Centre
- Alzheimer Day Program
Your donations are used directly for client services and every dollar that we raise goes directly to the programs and services that Better Living Health and Community Services provide. By supporting the Foundation, you are ensuring that seniors and individuals living with disabilities in our community receive the type of care and support that they deserve
The Better Living Charitable Foundation enhances the lives of seniors and adults with disabilities through our caring and dedicated staff and volunteers. We can provide these vital programs and services because of the financial support from people like you.There are several ways you can help:
- One-time financial donation
- Pre-authorized monthly or yearly giving
- Donations in memoriam
- Donation in celebration of a birthday, anniversary or other special occasions
- A planned gift, for example, a will, tangible assets, beneficiary of RRSP, RRIF or life insurance policy
- In-kind donation of goods and/or services.

The Better Living Charitable Foundation will issue an official tax receipt for all donations of $20.00 or more. Your donation will ensure we can continue providing vital programs and services to seniors and adults with disabilities. On their behalf, we express our gratitude and thank you very much.
The Better Living Charitable Foundation relies on the generosity of our community in order to provide the programs and services for our Seniors.
