#Stroll4Seniors is back this year and we need your help to raise essential funds for Better Living Health and Community Services and Better Living at Thompson House.
The Stroll for Seniors is a community-based fundraising event that brought together the Don Mills and North York communities for over 10 years. Funds raised through our Stroll for Seniors will make an impact on the lives of seniors in the Don Mills and North York communities by allowing our team at Better Living to continue providing programs and services that positively affect the wellbeing of our service users.
A few dates to mark on your calendar:
- Friday, April 1st – Online registration opens for Stroll for Seniors 2022
- Wednesday, June 1st – Virtual kickoff event
- June 12th – 19th – Participants do their Stroll activity in their own neighbourhoods and share photos with the Better Living team
- Sunday, July 17th – Stroll for Seniors Celebration Day – all participants who raise $250 or more will be invited to an in-person celebration event
Every day seniors involved in our programs remind us of what is important in life: each other.
The pandemic has meant a lot of changes for us at Better Living. We have persisted through evolving health protocols to ensure our residents, clients and staff have felt protected and safe in our centres and programs. This includes our Better Living volunteers, like Andrew, who started volunteering in early 2018. To read more about Andrew’s Story, visit our website at www.mybetterliving.ca/andrews-story/
We’re asking our community to come together with their families, friends, and colleagues to Stroll for Better Living Health and Community Services and Better Living at Thompson House. Last year, with your support we raised over $38,600 for our programs and services, our most successful Stroll in history and this year we’re aiming higher, with a goal of raising $50,000!
