Located at 5 Deauville Lane in the Flemingdon Park neighbourhood. Deauville Place provides 62 affordable housing units (14 barrier free) for seniors and adults with disabilities. Better Living Health and Community Services is the lead community service agency providing case management and reviewing tenant applications for Mahogany Management.
Better Living provides a comprehensive calendar of health and wellness activities to tenants living at 5 Deauville Lane. A Better Living Case Manager is onsite 2 days a week to help residents access existing community programs and resources including Meals on Wheels, grocery delivery services, indoor home maintenance, transportation, volunteer companionship, security check, home care and more.
Better Living Health and Community Services operates a multi-purpose community Centre for those 55+, located at 5 Deauville Lane for older adults who live in the Flemingdon Park and Thorncliffe Park neighbourhoods. The centre is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
We offer a wide variety of activities to suit all different types of interests. Over 25 programs are offered per season that include fitness classes, recreation and leisure activities, arts and culture programs, life-long learning courses, computer classes, workshops, social programs and special events. Our seasonal quarterly Program Guide has detailed information about the wide variety of programs, services and activities offered.
Better Living Health and Community Services will be temporarily closing all its operating locations for Adult Day Programs, community programs and Group Exercise and Falls Prevention, effective 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2020.
