During the COVID-19 pandemic, we are asking for your support to ensure that we can continue to provide service to you and your loved ones in a way that keeps us all safe. Please see below for a list of your rights and responsibilities.

Clients and Caregivers have the right to:

  • Continue to receive compassionate care for the duration of COVID-19
  • Receive service from staff and volunteers who are trained to reduce the transmission of the COVID-19 virus
  • Expect that our facilities and equipment are clean and disinfected frequently
  • Ask questions and raise concerns if you are unsure about our practices
  • Receive ongoing communication about our organization, programs and facilities until the end of the COVID-19 pandemic

Clients and Caregivers have the responsibility to:

  • Follow staff instructions with regards to health and safety, understanding that some of our procedures have changed during COVID-19
  • Practice physical distancing by maintaining 6 feet of space between yourself and others at all times
  • If staff raise a safety concern related to COVID-19 ensure that you address the issue raised
  • Ensure that you are maintaining a 2 meter distance from anyone that you are required to be in contact with and minimize any contact that is not required
  • Do not have contact with anyone who has recently travelled or who is feeling ill
  • Immediately inform us if you become aware that you have been in contact with someone who has recently travelled or who has the symptoms of COVID-19
  • Ensure that you are practicing good and frequent hand hygiene by washing your hands with soap and water or an alcohol based hand sanitizer

Our priority is to ensure everyone’s safety during this time. If we have concerns about the safety of your home or any activities that may put yourself or our staff at risk, we will work with you to rectify those issues immediately. Regretfully, if you are unable to comply with the responsibilities stated above, we may need to review your service plan and/or access to our facilities.
