GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past nine years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. GivingTuesday will be taking place on Tuesday, November 29th and is the opening day of the “giving season”.

GivingTuesday is an opportunity for people around the world to come together to thank, help, give, show kindness, and share what they have with those in need.

This year, our GivingTuesday Campaign will be raising funds for the Meals on Wheels program offered by Better Living Health and Community Services and Better Living at Thompson House.

Better Living delivers on average 5,280 meals every month to seniors who are isolated, vulnerable, homebound and/or are on a very fixed income. Our clients are not able to easily travel to a grocery store or prepare their own meals safely. We aim to ensure that seniors receive at least one hot and nutritionally based meal per day.

Staff that make a donation of $20 or more will be entered into a raffle contest to win an awesome gift basket! We will be raffling off three baskets and the draw will take place on November 30th.

DONATE NOW, and every gift will go straight towards ensuring that seniors who rely on our programs can continue to have nutritious meals delivered to their doorstep as often as they need it.

Consider becoming a monthly donor to help provide the needed support for our hospice residents and their families all year round.
