Complaints

We take complaints seriously and are committed to responding promptly. The Ministry is available to review urgent complaints. Below is information on ways to file a complaint:

  • For non-urgent complaints, please contact our Thompson House Administrator directly. Contact information is listed at the top of this page.
  • To report a complaint to the Ministry, visit the Ministry of Long Term Care website at: www.ontario.ca/page/long-term-care-home-complaint-process or call:

          1-866-434-0144 -> 7 days/week -> 8:30am to 7:00pm

  • Write to the Ministry. You can send a written letter to the Ministry by mail to:

  • Contact the Patient Ombudsman. If you have already contacted our Home and the Long-Term Care Family Support and Action line (toll-free at 1-866-434-0144) and were not able to reach a satisfactory resolution, you can contact the Patient Ombudsman, by:
    • Calling: 1-888-321-0339 (toll-free) or 416-597-0339 (in Toronto)
    • TTY: 416-597-5371
