Where We Started
Better Living’s roots date back to 1969 with the opening of Thompson House. As community needs evolved, Better Living expanded its programs and services, with community-based supports beginning in 1976.
Over the decades, that growth has shaped the Better Living we know today.
Our History
Where We Are Today
Today, Better Living offers a broad range of programs, services and care for adults and seniors. From opportunities to stay active and connected, to support at home and in the community, Adult Day Programs, long-term care, hospice and palliative care education, our services respond to a wide range of needs.
Our Next Chapter
As Better Living has grown, so has the opportunity to tell our story more clearly. Our refreshed identity creates a more unified presence, making it easier to understand how our programs, services and organizations connect.
Over the coming months, the refreshed brand will gradually appear across Better Living’s family of organizations. While our look is evolving, the programs, services and care our communities know will remain the same.
The butterfly has long been part of Better Living’s identity. Our refreshed brand carries that symbol forward while creating a stronger connection across the Better Living family. Individual areas of Better Living maintain their own unique colour and butterfly, helping preserve elements of their identity while showing how they belong within one connected organization.
