Community support services support nearly one million Ontarians each year, including seniors and people with disabilities. They help Clients live independently in their own homes and communities for as long as possible, and reduce the burden on family caregivers and other parts of the health care system. As Ontario’s population ages, community support services will become even more important.
October is Community Support Month, an opportunity for Better Living to celebrate and raise awareness about the value of these services to our Employees and Volunteers that support services and Clients each day. This year we want to especially celebrate the hard work and dedication of our front line staff, who are continuing to support Clients in our community throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
